Mario "the Magician" Marchese is an artist and inventor who creates his own props. He is known for his dedication to the Maker Movement and STEAM initiatives and his clever and refreshing integration of DIY electronics and robotics into his performance. Despite his use of cutting-edge technology, he never sacrifices the old-school slapstick vibe audiences love. It’s vintage meets the future. Mario has recently made appearances on Sesame Street, NBCUniversal’s Sprout Channel, live at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, World Maker Faire New York, the American Museum of Natural History and more.

He also is the subject of award-winning indie documentary film, “Building Magic,” currently making its rounds at film festivals.

Come early for other fun activities, such as a reading and signing of the new children’s book, "Slippery Soap!" by Doris Tomaselli and Carol Paterno and music by Al Burgasser.

A Pokemon Go lure will be dropped at the Sherman Historical Society 30 minutes before show time.

Tickets are $25 per family and $10 for individual and can be purchased at the door. Bring blankets or chairs for seating.

The Sherman Historical Society is at 10 Route 37 Center, Sherman.
